Teen Choice Awards 2012: Miley Cyrus Up Against Nicki Minaj in Fashion Nomination

'Boyfriend' singer Justin Bieber, in the meantime, has 'The Voice' mentor Cee-Lo Green and 'Glee' actor Chris Colfer as his contenders for Choice Fashion Icon: Male title.

Who will be the teenagers' choice for fashion icon this year? The first wave of nominations for 2012 Teen Choice Awards has been announced, and Miley Cyrus is once again vying for the title of Choice Fashion Icon: Female. This time around, the former Disney darling gets a Harajuku Barbie as her contender though.

Having been nominated three times before for the kudo, Cyrus is up against Nicki Minaj this year. The 19-year-old songstress also gets stiff competition from three other contenders, "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel, "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez and fellow pop singer Katy Perry.

Cyrus also collects two more nominations in the non-traditional categories. The "LOL" actress grabs Choice Female Hottie nod along with Perry, Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Kate Upton, in addition to getting a chance to win Choice Twit. The latter nom sees her competing against fellow teen stars Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato.

Also landing three nominations in the non-traditional categories is Bieber. Aside from Choice Twit, the "Boyfriend" singer also garners nom for Choice Fashion Icon: Male and Choice Male Hottie. In the former category, he is up against Chris Colfer, Cee-Lo Green, Justin Timberlake and will.i.am.

Other non-traditional nominees include Ellen DeGeneres, Maria Sharapova and David Beckham. DeGeneres will battle Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Daniel Tosh and Kristen Wiig for the title of Choice Comedian, while Sharapova and Beckham are up for Choice Female and Male Athlete respectively.
