Sofia Vergara of 'Modern Family' wins Outstanding Supporting Actress, and Keke Palmer of 'True Jackson, VP' gets Outstanding Performance.

AceShowbiz - This year's winner list of the 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards in TV is dominated by "Modern Family" and "True Jackson, VP". The two TV series snatched two awards each at the live event taking place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on March 4.
The ABC drama comedy series made Sofia Vergara win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, thanks to her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett. It additionally made Kevin Rodney Sullivan take home Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series prize for his work in episode "Game Changer".
The Nickelodeon show, meanwhile, led one of its main cast Keke Palmer to win Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Program (Series or Special) for her portrayal as the title character. The comedy series was additionally named Outstanding Children's Program.
"Sins of the Mother" also got two awards, one for Outstanding TV Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special and the other for Outstanding Actress in a TV Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special (Jill Scott). The other winners included "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" (Outstanding Comedy Series), "Grey's Anatomy" (Outstanding Drama Series) and "The View" (Outstanding Talk Series).
Aired on FOX, 2011 NAACP Image Awards honors the best achievements by people of color in TV, music, literature and movie. The Friday event was hosted by Wayne Brady and Holly Robinson Peete. This year, it comes under fire for nominating Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, P. Diddy, Kanye West and other artists who often use offensive lyrics and derogatory images.
