2009 ALMA Awards Honorees in Music
August 26, 2009 11:08:15A press conference unveiling nominations of 2009 NCLR ALMA Awards has been conducted in Los Angeles with "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and Janet Murguia, President and CEO of NCLR (National Council of La Raza), attending the event as its announcers. In music field, it was revealed that the likes of David Archuleta, Pitbull, Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera appear in the list.
Celebrating the outstanding achievements of Latinos in entertainment, this year's ALMA Awards will take place on September 17 at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus and broadcast the next day at 8:00 - 10:00 P.M. EST on ABC. Wonder Woman Heads to Chicago
September 15, 2005 01:09:23American actress Lynda Carter, best known as the star of the 1970s fantasy adventure TV series "Wonder Woman" will join the London cast of "Chicago" on Sept. 26. Her joining in the film, which will mark its 8th anniversary in London on Nov. 18, has been confirmed by its producer Wednesday.
Carter will make her London stage debut in the role of the jail matron, Mama Morton. She later on can be seen in "Chicago" at the city's Adelphi Theatre for a six week run which starts September 26.
