It was difficult at first to erase public's remembrance on the incident, but as time went by, Justin's singing and acting career continued rocketing. However, becoming a successful singer and actor was yet enough for him. Thus, Justin spread his wings, establishing the Timberlake Foundation to promote music education and launching his own record label.

By the year 2005, he teamed up with hisbest friend Trace Ayala to create a clothing line, "William Rast," named after their grandfathers. "We just kind of picked the two people who are most influential in our lives, and that's our grandfathers. William is my grandfather's first name and Rast is Trace's grandfather's last name," Justin said. The line consisted of T-shirts and jeans, besides a few extras addition in form of Italian suits.

Focusing back on his music career, Justin began working on his second solo album, recruiting a trio of producers Rick Rubin, Timbaland, and Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am to help him finish the set. Meanwhile, the album where the song appeared gloriously secured the No. 1 position on Hot 200 and sold 684,000 units in just one week on the stores. The follow-up singles from the same album also received huge enthusiasm from fans that all of them garnered a place in the chart.

Already embedding his name in showbiz as a successful singer, Justin took it to the next level by sitting on the CEO chair of Tennman Records in May 2007. Together with notorious producer Ken Komisar, he ran the Interscope Geffen distributing company to sign new artists worth to be launched.
