In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the death toll has reached 63 and many lost their homes. Kevin Hart was one of the first celebrities responding to the natural disaster. He announced donation and called no his fellow celebrities to join him.
"Today I call out ... simply anybody right now who's in a powerful position," he said. "I think we've participated in a lot of challenges on the Internet, some meaningful, some meaningless, but we've all done them. I've been a person that's partaken in several of them. At this point, this is a serious matter. I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I'm going to lead the charge and step up in this way."
A number of celebrities have since donated to the relief efforts. They included Miley Cyrus, Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Sandra Bullock, Chris Brown, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nicki Minaj and the Kardashians. Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert helped save hundreds of dogs and other domesticated pets from the areas.
