NBC made use of Super Bowl XLIX telecast to promote its own programs. The network released promos for upcoming miniseries "Heroes Reborn" and "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special during the big game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 1.
The first teaser for "Heroes Reborn" features someone, who looks like a young girl, unleashing her super power that creates aurora. Jack Coleman's Noah Bennett a.k.a. HRG (the Man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses) and Zachary Levi's character are observing the person with the special ability from afar.
"SNL", meanwhile, announced the cast of its 40th anniversary special in two promos. They include returning cast members Adam Sandler, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Rock, Andy Samberg and Maya Rudolph.
Past hosts and musical guests like Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Jim Carrey, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Kanye West and Melissa McCarthy are also tapped to support the star-studded event.
The "SNL" reunions will air starting from Sunday, February 15 live at 8 P.M. ET on NBC.
