A new picture from the set of "Fast and Furious 7" has landed online. Posted by Vin Diesel on his Facebook, it gives a first look at Kurt Russell. The twosome along with Paul Walker, all suiting up, is filming a scene in some kind of a car garage.
"Kurt Russell, such an honor to work with...," Diesel wrote. The photo doesn't give enough hints at the character Russell is playing. Initial report suggested the "Vanilla Sky" star would take on the villainous role, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
The seventh installment of the "Fast and Furious" series is directed by James Wan ("The Conjuring" and "Insidious"). He takes over the helm from Justin Lin who directed the fourth film, the fifth one "Fast Five", and the "Fast and Furious 6".
Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey and Jason Statham are added to the cast ensemble to join returning members like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Luke) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman). Lucas Black who played Sean Boswell in the third movie, 2006's "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift", is brought back as well.
The film eyes a June 11, 2014 release. Since the production kicked off earlier this month in Atlanta, Georgia, Diesel has posted a series of pictures from the set. One of them shows him filming a funeral scene. Cast member Ludacris, meanwhile, has posted on Instagram a video of cars that will be used in the movie.
