A batch of photos taken from the "The Expendables 3" filming location in Varna, Bulgaria on Tuesday, August 22, has stormed the web, giving fans looks at the set intended to mimic a Somali shipyard. Seen taking a break in-between the action-heavy sequences were Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren, all of whom are original cast members in the franchise.

The three action stars were all covered in blood, and fellow actor Terry Crews was not an exception. In some other photos, they appeared to enjoy chatting with the mayor Ivan Portnih, who made a surprise visit on the set to give them some gifts. New additions, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Kellan Lutz and Harrison Ford, were nowhere to be seen that day.

Earlier this week, Lionsgate and Millennium Films released the full cast list, which includes Jet Li, Randy Couture and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the other returning actors. In this upcoming installment, Gibson will be the bad guy Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Stallone's Barney, but now is a ruthless arms trader.

Forced to kill his old pal, Barney "brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy."

Directed by Patrick Hughes, "The Expendables 3" will hit theaters on August 15, 2014.
