AceShowbiz - NBC is the latest network to announce the Fall premiere dates of its shows. "The Jay Leno Show" shows a domination in the air time, airing Monday to Friday starting Monday, September 14 at 10/9c. The talk show thus becomes the first-ever entertainment program to be stripped across primetime on broadcast network TV.
The next day, "The Biggest Loser" returns with a two-hour episode presenting once again the non-couples season. A contestant named Amanda has been cast via audience votes in the previous season and shooting had begun in May.
Premieres for Wednesdays line-up in that week are skipped for Thursday comedies. Starting September 17, "Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday" will kick off the night at 8/7c followed by the new episodes of "Parks and Recreation", "The Office" and "Community". On later dates, "Weekend Update" slot will be replaced by "Community" and the 9.30/8.30c slot is given to the season premiere of "30 Rock".
"NBC is proud to present more hours of comedy programming this fall than any other network with the 'The Jay Leno Show' each night at 10 p.m. and 'Community' joining the award-winning Thursday line-up," said Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. "We're also excited about adding two new dramas to our strong slate of quality returning shows."
