'Jay Leno Show' Ending Earlier Than Scheduled
January 27, 2010 11:01:17NBC can't wait to get rid of its failed experiment, "The Jay Leno Show". Instead of ending it on Thursday, February 11 as previously scheduled, the variety show will pull down its curtain two days earlier on February 9.
In the updated programming schedule, NBC puts a repeat of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" on February 10 at 10/9c and two back-to-back repeat of "The Office" on February 11. NBC releases no statement regarding the reason of this change.

Appearing via satellite to answer Leno's Ten at Ten, Kimmel said a good impression of Leno that he did earlier this week was a combination of "Sylvester the Cat, Curly from 'The Three Stooges' and Scrappy-Doo."
Later on Kimmel touched the sensitive issue of Conan O'Brien being shoved from the 11.35 P.M. slot in order for Leno to take the spot. Asked whom he would like to have as guest, Kimmel answered, "It would be you and Conan at the same time, because I have a lot of questions for you." Kimmel said it would be a 12 at 12 instead of 10 at 10.

January 14, 2010 11:01:07Just a day after Jimmy Kimmel put on gray wig and prosthetic chin to mock Jay Leno on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", he accepted an invitation to guest on "The Jay Leno Show". Kimmel will be reading out Leno's "Ten at Ten" list on Thursday, January 14.
The announcement from NBC comes on the heels of Jimmy's monologue about Jay Leno's move to 11.35 P.M. and Conan O'Brien's open letter that rejects it. Kimmel as Leno said, "Hello, hello, my name is Jay Leno and I'm taking over all the shows in late night." Leno then gave Kimmel a call on Wednesday to tell him he found the comedy bit funny and extend an offer to Kimmel to appear on his show.

NBC Confirms 'Jay Leno' Exit From Primetime
January 11, 2010 02:01:52Starting February 12, "The Jay Leno Show" will no longer be part of the primetime. NBC University Entertainment chairman Jeff Gaspin confirmed at Winter TCA Press Tour on Sunday, January 10 that the talk show has been yanked out of it's 10 P.M. hour. However, it's "not a done deal" yet whether it will move to 11:35 P.M.
NBC plan to slide the timeslot of its three late night talk shows by approximately an hour later. With Jay Leno taking the 11 P.M. slot, Conan O'Brien will get the 12:05 P.M. while Jimmy Fallon will take the next hour.

Jay Leno Confirms He's Not Canceled During Monologue
January 08, 2010 09:01:59Jay Leno wants his old time slot back. Things may be uncertain surrounding the status of "The Jay Leno Show" but TMZ has quoted some sources as saying that the talk show is indeed going back to its 11.35 P.M. time slot.
It was reported on Thursday morning that NBC was considering to give Jay his old spot back due to shrinking ratings. Conan O'Brien, who replaced him at 11.35 P.M., consequently will be given a later hour which starts at 12.05 A.M. There had been lengthy discussions with Jay and Conan on Thursday but no final decision has been made.

Letterman recently made a public announcement to the audience of his show that he had a sexual relationship with a female staff, identified as Stephanie Birkitt. He also revealed that somebody has threatened to leak out the information. Allegedly, "48 Hours Mystery" producer Robert J. "Joe" Halderman is the blackmailer.

The rapper infamously cut off Taylor Swift's acceptance speech of Best Female Video at MTV Video Music Awards and he was on the talk show to apologize for the umpteenth time.

August 15, 2009 01:08:10Jerry Seinfeld takes the honor of being the first guest on the premiere of "The Jay Leno Show". The comedian will be the main talker on the September 14 episode where Jay Leno makes his debut after stepping down from his show of 17 years, "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno".
During his appearance, Seinfeld will promote his concerts at Ceasars Palace on December 26 and 27. He is also there to support the "Seinfeld"-themed story arc on the upcoming season of Larry David's HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and his upcoming NBC venture, "The Marriage Ref".
