A former contestant of "" has come out with a shocking story about how the show went for an extreme way to make the contestants lose weight. Kai Hibbard, who lost 121 pounds after joining the third season of the reality series, said, "The whole f**king show is a fat-shaming disaster that I'm embarrassed to have participated in."

Hibbard told the New York Post that she and fellow competitors were often forced to work out for extreme amounts of time and placed on unhealthy diets under the order of the trainers. She said once she was chosen as one of the 14 finalists, she and other contestants were taken to "the ranch" where they were closely monitored and had to work out for between five to eight hours straight a day.
