Rainn Wilson: Dwight Spin-Off Will Be Weirder Than 'The Office'
January 30, 2012 08:01:30Rainn Wilson has confirmed that "The Office" spin-off is in the works. Met at the red carpet of the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 29, the Dwight Schrute of the NBC sitcom told E!, "We're talking about it, it's a good idea. We're mulling it over."
After joking that a Dwight-centric series is "the worst idea I have ever heard in my life," the 46-year-old gushed the show "could be really cool" and "would be even more far out and weird than 'The Office'." He further shared what could be expected from the spin-off as saying, "It would have a crazy menagerie of characters."

It has just been reported that NBC is developing "The Office" spin-off which will focus on the life of Rainn Wilson's character outside of Dunder Mifflin as he returns to his family's beet farm and bed & breakfast.
A source close to "The Office" tells Deadline that the family comedy "will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together." No deals have been sealed, but a backdoor pilot is planned to air later this season for a projected 2013 premiere.

Catherine Tate Returns to 'The Office' for Major Arc

The Donna Noble of "Doctor Who" will reprise her role as Nellie Bertram, who this time is hired by friend and Chairman Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates) as a "misguided special projects manager working directly for the corporate office who very much enjoys the favoritism received from Bennett." Her arc will last until the remainder of the currently airing eighth season.

August 19, 2011 02:08:00Another celebrity has been brought in to make up Andy Bernard's family. Multi-platinum singer Josh Groban has been tapped to guest star as the brother of Ed Helms' character on the upcoming season of "The Office".
No other details are disclosed about Josh's appearance on the show, but there is a possibility his character will join Stephen Collins and Dee Wallace, who take the roles of Andy's parents, when they visit him. The singer himself got coy about his TV gig, tweeting only, "The cast and crew of The Office are the coolest ever. #allimgonnasay."

'The Office': Second Baby Is on the Way for Jim and Pam
July 15, 2011 04:07:55Jenna Fischer is going to flaunt her baby bump on "The Office". The actress has confirmed that her real-life pregnancy will be inserted in the plot of season 8 of the NBC comedy series. "Pam will be pregnant when the season starts," she told New York Magazine's Vulture.
Sharing the story of how Pam gets pregnant, the wife of screenwriter Lee Kirk said, "Pam and Jim snuck away last season on Valentine's Day, and they had sex. The story is that they conceived this baby at that time and were keeping it a secret until we come back from the summer." The baby will be the second for her character and John Krasinski's.
