Joel McHale: One Character From 'Community' Will Die
February 13, 2012 03:02:40Having been keeping the story light with its jokes, "Community" might go somber in an upcoming episode. Lead actor Joel McHale has revealed that one familiar face at Greendale Community College will soon meet the demise.
"A character from the show will die," the Jeff Winger depicter told TV Guide. He went on dishing the plot by detailing that the dying character is "someone you've seen a lot. And he dies in the mid-afternoon."

Meanwhile, John Goodman is added to the cast ensemble to play Vice Dean Robert Laybourne, the head of Greendale's nationally acclaimed air conditioning repair school.
Goodman's character will become a nuisance to Dean Pelton. As seen in the footage, he is threatening Pelton, who is portrayed by newly promoted series regular Jim Rash, with his big, deep voice. The two, however, end up having a long, awkward laugh.

Alison Brie Pitches Britta and Annie Lesbian Kiss for 'Community'

Alison Brie, who portrays Annie Edison, recently shared an idea of having her character sharing a girl-on-girl kiss with Gillian Jacobs' Britta. "I'm pitching a Britta and Annie kiss for the Season 3 finale," she told AfterEllen.com. "I'm working on it."
"Annie's a very open character," Gillian chimed in. Speaking of the show itself, she gushed, "It's a great show and they wanted to create a show in which there was sexual tension and possibilities between all of the characters and I feel like they have done that."

April 26, 2011 01:04:11"Lost" alum Josh Holloway is going to stop by "Community" for one of its final episodes this season. His appearance is now teased in the form of a picture showing him being armed with what looks like paintball guns and their bullets.
Holloway will show up in the show's May 5 episode as a mysterious and threatening figure called Black Rider. He crosses paths with Annie on the Greendale campus, but there is no word on whether or not this will be an encounter of the romantic nature.

'Community' Earns Two Additional Episodes
November 04, 2010 11:11:03"Community", which has been losing viewers on Thursdays, 8/7c since "The Big Bang Theory" moved to the slot this Fall, has just received a good news. NBC has ordered two additional episodes which means the second season will have a full 24-episode.
There was an up tick in the rating of last week's Halloween episode. It jumps from 4.4 million viewers to 5.6 million viewers. But the show started at 8.30 because NBC aired a Halloween special "Scared Shrekless" at the show's usual spot.

Described as "an esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor", White's June is seen holding an ancient weapon and aiming it at Joel McHale's Jeff.
Speaking of the experience working with the veteran actress, McHale told Billy Bush, "She plays a murderous anthropology professor and she tries to kill me. She really does try to assault me numerous times. And she drinks her own urine ...and I am not joking!" But he was joking when he said, "It's very torrid, very graphic, really intense I don't know if we can show it at 8 o'clock."

"Hi, I'm Betty White. Watch me in the season premiere of 'Glee'," White said before a voice behind the camera reminds her that it's not FOX's "Glee" she's going to appear in. The intended joke is to promote the return of NBC's half-hour comedy "Community" on September 23. White is to play an anthropology professor named June Bauer who is highly-esteemed, but is questionable in terms of sanity.

Betty White Comes to 'Community' as the Professor
July 15, 2010 09:07:46As if "Community" is not funny enough, the producers have brought in Betty White to up the ante. The 88-year-old actress is coming to the NBC sitcom this coming season as an anthropology professor named June Bauer who is highly-esteemed, but is questionable in terms of sanity.
White's guest appearance reportedly is only set for one episode. The veteran actress is a regular on TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland" which has just been renewed for a second season. Additionally, she is due to promote her latest feature film project "You Again" which will be released in theaters on September 24.

Jack Black Coming to 'Community'

The feature film actor has once made a cameo in another NBC show "The Office", playing an actor along with Jessica Alba and Cloris Leachman in a pirated movie that Andy downloaded.
In "Community", Zap2It said that Black's appearance on the half-hour comedy is scheduled for January premiere. No further detail was released regarding his role but Zap2It noted that another high profile film actor is also slated to pop up in the same episode and he is Black's co-star in one of his projects.
