AceShowbiz - The 2009 Orange British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, held in London on Sunday, February 8, was a star-studded event despite the heavy rain. Big names in Hollywood movie industry showed up to the gala ceremony, including mega-watt couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The longtime partners walked the red carpet together and drew huge cheers. Jolie was snapped donning a black silk crepe Giorgio Armani evening gown. She finished off her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels and a bracelet and diamond-studded earrings, both from Asprey. Pitt, meanwhile, wore Tom Ford tuxedo.

"Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto, meanwhile, walked the red carpet in a pink-gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. She beautified her look, wearing 18th century jewels. Also striking poses for a throng of photographers on the red carpet was Marisa Tomei. Sporting an Etro Spring 2009 asymmetrical gown, she paired it up with Fendi clutch and nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Fellow actress Amy Adams, meanwhile, opted to wear electric blue mermaid gown designed by Roland Mouret.

Also donning mermaid gown was Kate Winslet, who wore a black colored one by Zac Posen. Beside Winslet, Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue, young actress Emma Watson, Goldie Hawn, and Meryl Streep also preferred to wear black. Contrary to them all, Sharon Stone walked the red carpet in a red John Galliano Spring 2009 gown.
