The 59th Annual Emmy Awards, the Nominees Are in!

The 59th annual Emmy Awards won't be held until September 16th later this year, but the nominees are in already. "The Sopranos", "Ugly Betty", and "Grey's Anatomy" are among the series dominating the award nominees list announced Thursday July 19th.

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" is nominated for the Drama Series award, running for the category with the likes of "Boston Legal", "Heroes", "House", and "The Sopranos". The hit dramedy series "Ugly Betty" is vying for the category of Comedy Series with "Entourage", "The Office", "30 Rock", and "Two and a Half Men" as the competitors.

As of the stars, they have their own competition. In the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category, the nominees include James Spader of "Boston Legal", Hugh Laurie of "House", Denis Leary of "Rescue Me", James Gandolfini of "The Sopranos", and Kiefer Sutherland of "24." In the running to win Lead Actress in a Drama Series award are Sally Field of "Brothers & Sisters", Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer", Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order: SVU", Patricia Arquette of "Medium", Minnie Driver of "The Riches", and Edie Falco of "The Sopranos".

Vying for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award among others are William Shatner of "Boston Legal", T. R. Knight of "Grey's Anatomy", Masi Oka of "Heroes", Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn both of "Lost", and Michael Imperioli of "The Sopranos".

In addition to those names, still we can find famous celebs, like Katherine Heigl who's nominated for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category for her action in "Grey's Anatomy", Chandra Wilson who's up for the same nod, as well as fellow cast Sandra Oh. The "Desperate Housewife" Felicity Huffman and the "Ugly" America Ferrera both are vying for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award.
