Biography
Known for being low-profile and his philosophical lyrics, Lupe Fiasco who gained four nominations at the 2007 Grammy Awards is once again on his way to critical acclaim through his latest release, "The Cool". The first single from the album, "Superstar" although debuting under 40, has slowly risen itself to #12 in the eleventh week it sits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He is also due to support fellow Child Rebel Society member, Kanye West in the "Glow in the Dark" tour and release an album with the super rap group later in 2008. In the middle of his career peak, Lupe broke hearts when he decided that it was time for him to try other ventures than music. The rapper announced a plan to quit the music industry after releasing his third studio effort, aptly titled "LupEND" that is due 2008. Still declaring his existence though, Lupe wants to develop his charisma in the literary field by penning a book. "I have one more album in me and then I'm out. I've been doing this music hustle for eights years and have more things I still want to do. There are other ways besides putting out an album that allow me to channel my creative energy and I'm writing a book about a window washer. I will have more than enough to keep me busy."
