The third 'Captain America' movie is up for Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie against other blockbusters, including 'Deadpool' and DC's 'Suicide Squad'.

The nominations for the 2017 People's Choice Awards were announced by Jordana Brewster, Jamie Chung and more at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills on November 15. In movie field, the likes of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Deadpool" lead the nominees.

The two Marvel movies are nominated in both Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie categories. Another Marvel movie joining the competition is "X-Men: Apocalypse". Other blockbusters joining the race include "Finding Dory", "Zootopia" and DC's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad".

In actor/actress categories, "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds will compete against the likes of Kevin Hart, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Hanks and Will Smith in the Favorite Movie Actor category. The Merc with a Mouth depicter is also nominated for Favorite Action Movie Actor. Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson is up for Favorite Movie Actress against the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie.

Fans can vote for their favorites on PeoplesChoice.com, Facebook and/or Facebook Messenger. Winners in all categories, including music, TV and others, will be announced during the ceremony airing on CBS from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on January 18, 2017.
