Every day, Emily Blunt as Rachel Watson rides the commuter train, her gaze fixed on the lives of others as a distraction from her own unraveling existence. She becomes particularly fixated on a seemingly perfect couple, Megan and Scott, whose house she passes, weaving elaborate fantasies about their blissful life. When Megan, played by Haley Bennett, suddenly vanishes, Rachel believes she witnessed a crucial detail from the train window. Plagued by alcoholic blackouts and unreliable memories, she inserts herself into the investigation, determined to piece together the truth. Directed by Tate Taylor, this tense psychological thriller weaves together the perspectives of Rachel, Megan, and Megan's neighbor Anna, portrayed by Rebecca Ferguson (II), revealing a tangled web of obsession, deceit, and fractured realities. As Rachel digs deeper, the line between witness and suspect blurs, forcing everyone involved to confront the dangerous secrets hidden just beneath the surface of their ordinary lives.
