AceShowbiz - The nominees for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards have been announced. In TV field, "The Big Bang Theory" and "Modern Family" take the lead with four nods each. Both of them are vying for Favorite Family TV Show, pitted against "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", "Once Upon a Time", "The Flash" and "The Muppets".
"Big Bang Theory" lands two nods in Favorite Male TV Star-Family Show category through Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki. "Modern Family" star Rico Rodriguez, "Black-ish" actor Anthony Anderson, "Gotham" lead Benjamin McKenzie and "The Flash" star Grant Gustin are the other contenders for the prize.
"Big Bang Theory" earns its fourth nomination through Kaley Cuoco, who is nominated for Favorite Female TV Star-Family Show. She is up against "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Chloe Bennet and Ming-Na Wen, "OUAT" actress Jennifer Morrison as well as "Modern Family" cast members Sarah Hyland and Sofia Vergara for the prize.
This year, the KCAs adds two new categories, including favorite cooking show in TV field and favorite collaboration for music. Voting for the winners in all 22 categories, including movie, music and video game, begins Tuesday, February 2 via Nick.com and the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle and select Android devices. Blake Shelton will be hosting the ceremony held Saturday, March 12 at 8 P.M. ET/PT.
