AceShowbiz - Nominees for the 42nd annual American Music Awards are revealed. Iggy Azalea, Pharrell Williams, and Lorde dominate the pack. Australian femcee Iggy tops the list with six nods, Pharrell follows along with John Legend and Katy Perry with five each, and New Zealand singer Lorde gets four.
All those five nominees will battle it out for the ultimate prize, Artist of the Year. They are joined in the stiff competition by the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Luke Bryan, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, and One Direction to win the coveted title.
Contenders for the Top Soundtrack are "Frozen (2013)" which includes hit single "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel, "The Fault in Our Stars" which features Ed Sheeran's song, and "Guardians of the Galaxy" which compiles classics like Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling" and The Runaways' "Cherry Bomb".
The winners will be announced at a live telecast on November 23 this year at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. The nominees were announced by Jason Derulo and Charli XCX.
