AceShowbiz - In what stands as a major global music relief effort to benefit those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, over 30 of the biggest names in contemporary music have been gathered by Universal Music Group to join together for "Songs for Japan" compilation album. The full line-up was announced on Friday, March 25.

The likes of Eminem, Beyonce Knowles, Madonna, Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry, Adele and Sade are listed in this album. They join previously-announced artists like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Bon Jovi and U2. Beside revealing a number of new participants, the tracklisting also confirmed swirling rumor about Lady GaGa's involvement in this project.

A mix of current chart-topping hits and classic tracks, the charity album will be made available for digital download for a worldwide release on iTunes music store for $9.99 starting today. "We are doing it only digitally because it is faster," spokesperson for UMG previously said in a statement. Proceeds from the album's sale will benefit the disaster relief efforts of the Japanese Red Cross Society.
