'The Twilight Saga's New Moon' and 'Valentine's Day' add six nods each, making the second 'Twilight' film a leader in movie categories.

AceShowbiz - 2010 Teen Choice Awards has just released second wave of nominations in addition to the first pack announced on June 14. This time, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" and "Valentine's Day" grab six more nominations each in movie categories, making the second installment of the vampire drama series franchise lead the competition with 11 nods in total.
"New Moon" adds its chance to win as its stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, are nominated for Choice Liplock and Choice Chemistry categories. Moreover, Kellan Lutz is among the nominees of Choice Male Scene Stealer while three of the film beauties, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene and Anna Kendrick, face off each other for Choice Female Scene Stealer kudo. For this honor, Kendrick also owes it to her role in "Up in the Air".
Meanwhile, "Valentine's Day" has on-screen couple Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift competing with Pattinson and Stewart for Choice Liplock and Choice Chemistry prizes. The singer/actress is additionally up for Choice Female Breakout gong. The drama movie gets three other nominations through Choice Hissy Fit (Jessica Biel), Choice Male Scene Stealer (George Lopez) and Choice Female Scene Stealer (Anne Hathaway). Thus, the star-studded film gets nine nods in total.
The winners of 2010 Teen Choice Awards are determined by fans vote which can be submitted through TeenChoiceAwards.com. Beside honoring those in movies, the show will also hand out the surfboard trophies to the "coolest" in music, TV and sports, fashion and more. The ceremony will be held on August 9 at 8:00-10:00 P.M. ET/PT and aired live on Fox. Katy Perry is set to host in addition to performing, with David Archuleta, Kristen Bell, Miranda Cosgrove and Zac Efron among those expected to attend the event.
