Finishing her high school early due to her excellent grades and extra credits, Ashley Michele Greene packed her bags and moved from her native Jacksonville, Florida to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting. For the first three years there, she struggled to land acting roles and ended up working as a waitress. She kicked off her career in the industry by picking up minor roles on TV shows such as "Crossing Jordan" (2001) and "Punk'd" (2003) and in films "King of California" (2007) and "Shrink5" (2009).
She then landed a part in the commercially success film "mTwilight%". Initially auditioning for the role of Bella Swan, she lost the character to Kristen Stewart and was instead cast as vampire Alice Cullen, the sister of Robert Pattinson's Robert Cullen. Following its worldwide success, the February 21, 1987 born actress was tapped to reprise her role in all its follow-ups; "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse", "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I", and "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II".
Expanding her acting beyond "Twilight" film series, Greene explored several other roles in different features, including "Butter" (2011), "The Apparition" (2012), as well as the 2014 "Wish I Was Here". She also added small screen projects into her resume, guest starring on five episodes of "Pan Am".
