'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Features Surprise Return of 'Iron Man' Character
Movie

The newly-released official cast list of the Tom Holland-starring movie reveals the return of a fan-favorite character from 'Iron Man' movie series.

AceShowbiz - Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) won't be the only "Iron Man" characters who are featured in "Spider-Man: Homecoming". Sony Pictures has released the official cast list for the movie, revealing the surprise return of an "Iron Man" character.

[SPOILER ALERT!] Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts in all three "Iron Man" movies, will reprise the role in "Homecoming". Tony's personal secretary-turned-girlfriend/CEO of Stark Industries was last seen in "Iron Man 3".

Their relationship has become complicated with Tony's responsibility as Iron Man and part of The Avengers, so it's interesting to see how she deals with Tony's new role as a mentor to Peter Parker now.

Another interesting casting which has just been revealed is the involvement of Jennifer Connelly, who starred in Ang Lee's "Hulk" (2003), which is not part of the MCU. The actress voices Karen/Suit Lady, the A.I. in Peter Parker's new Stark Industries Spidey suit. Connelly's real-life husband Paul Bettany voiced Tony's A.I., Jarvis, before playing Vision.

In "Spider-Man: Homecoming", a young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark.

Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine - distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man - but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Also starring Zendaya Coleman, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr and Hannibal Buress among others, the movie is set to be unleashed in U.S. theaters on July 7.
