AceShowbiz - The music category at this year's Teen Choice Awards is dominated by Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande with three nominations each. The two are pitted against each other in favorite female artist along with Demi Lovato, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift.
5 Seconds of Summer, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, Sam Smith, One Direction get at least two nominations apiece. Sheeran, Jonas, and Smith are contenders for favorite male artist alongside Jason Derulo, Pitbull, and Shawn Mendes.
Meanwhile, Blake Shelton is vying for favorite artist in country. He is facing off tough contenders like his own wife Miranda Lambert and fellow country crooners such as Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, and Luke Bryan.
Honoring teens' favorites in TV, movie, music, and other pop culture, the awards show will take place on August 16. More nominees are expected to be announced in the coming week. Host and a recipient for the special Ultimate Choice Award will also be announced soon.
