Pitbull's 'Shut It Down' Music Video Feat. Akon
November 03, 2009 02:11:49In "Shut It Down" music video, Pitbull appears as Armando Bond who is equipped with the most advanced gadgets just like Ian Flemming's famous character, James Bond. As for his collaborator Akon, he portrays a surveillance target No. 1.
"Shut It Down" is the fourth single from Pitbull's studio album "Rebelution" which has been released in U.S. since August 31. Explaining on why he chose to drop the new effort on Monday rather than the usual U.S. Tuesday schedule, this musician said, "The album is being released on a Monday to meet the deadline for submitting albums to the Grammy people. It also gives us an extra day of sales leading into the labor day weekend."
Music Winners of 2009 ALMA Awards
September 18, 2009 02:09:34David Archuleta walked home with a trophy at the 4th Annual ALMA Awards which was held on September 17. In addition to the former contestant of "American Idol" season 7, another artist who managed to grab a prize in music category was rapper Pitbull.
As for its special honorees, Salma Hayek received Anthony Quinn Award for Industry Excellence and Oscar de la Hoya was handed Special Achievement in Sports Television. The Thursday ceremony also hosted Ricardo Montalban tribute which was led by Rita Moreno.

August 31, 2009 11:08:39After failing to reach the Top 20 of Billboard Hot 200 through his third effort "The Boatlift", Pitbull is ready to make a return to the chart with his new album "Rebelution" which will be released across U.S. on August 31. Out of fifteen new materials in the set, three of them have made their way out.
The first single, which has come out, is "Krazy" which has Lil Jon lending his vocal and contributing behind production table. The song managed to peak at number 30 on Billboard Hot 100. The not-so-quite impressive chart performance was then followed by the achievement of its second single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" which secured the second spot on the chart.
2009 ALMA Awards Honorees in Music

In music field, it was revealed that the likes of David Archuleta, Pitbull, Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera appear in the list.
Celebrating the outstanding achievements of Latinos in entertainment, this year's ALMA Awards will take place on September 17 at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus and broadcast the next day at 8:00 - 10:00 P.M. EST on ABC. Pitbull Sued for Canceling Australian Tour
August 19, 2009 10:08:30Pitbull is sued by Suave Productions and Don Juan Entertainment for scrapping his scheduled concerts in Australia. "It's unfortunate that it had to come to this. I am a huge Pitbull fan. I've always been the first person in Perth to play his music, but justice must be done," so a statement from the gig's promoters read.
"He can say whatever he wants about why he did not get on the plane but we would rather leave it up to the courts to decide who failed to fulfill their end of the contract," it was further explained. "We did everything we could to make him happy, sometimes even going that extra mile in order to meet his demands. But yet he still refused to get on the plane. Not only that, he also failed to notify that he wasn't coming & also kept half the money for doing nothing at all".

In this video, the rapper is seen arriving and checking himself into a luxurious hotel which staff, from its receptionist to its housekeepers, are all females. During his stay in the hotel, he is frolicking with them in his room.
One of the beautiful women in the video is played by Feisty, the former contestant of VH1's dating reality show "For the Love of Ray J". The video is filmed at Epic Hotel in Miami and directed by David Rousseau.

"J. Lo can't wait to make a huge comeback. She is working all the time and has so many projects coming up," her friend said back in October 2008.

In addition, a behind-the-scenes footage for the video has also been outed. The on-set clip reveals that the video is directed by David Rousseau and filmed at Epic Hotel in Miami. It features Pitbull's interaction with beautiful women, one of whom is a front desk girl.

Rapper Pitbull Hit by a Flying Bottle at Concert, Received Eight Staples

Pitbull, who was born Armando Christian Perez, was performing at San Antonio club Planeta Mexico back on February 8 when he was struck upside his head by a bottle thrown from the crowd.

Rapper Pitbull Arrested for DUI, Released on $1,000 Bond
December 22, 2007 09:12:16Pitbull was arrested in Miami after he was stopped by Miami-Dade Police for speeding early Friday morning, December 21. According to an arrest report, he was charged with driving under influence (DUI).
Pitbull, a rap star, was detained around 3.14 A.M. Friday morning for driving his silver Mecedez Benz at a speed of 93 miles per hour in a 55 zone. He initially refused to get out of the car and when he did the officer wrote that he "could detect a strong breath odor of alcohol over the gum he was chewing," that Pitbull's speech was rapid and slurred and his eyes were bloodshot.

Cuban-American rapper Pitbull is set to release the fourth set of his studio album. Named "The Boatlift", the album that is due May 22 generates lots of his rapping persona compared to the previous three.
"It's a part two to El Mariel but more urban-based," he said. "There's more street records on there. I'm giving them another side to Pitbull. I had all the club records - you can easily go 45 minutes in the club just off my records. I just want to take these folks for a ride on this album based on what I know."
