Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson Mid Bond Theme Project
April 07, 2008 11:04:26One of the longest running rumors swirling in the music industry is that Amy Winehouse will do a theme song for the new Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace". In a report published on Saturday, April 5, The Sun claimed that the troubled singer has teamed up with Mark Ronson to record for the project.
"Amy and Mark are really excited," a source told the publication. "They see this as the biggest thing they have ever done. Mark collected her clothes and guitar to take to his place. She will join him soon and they will lock themselves away to write and record the song." The pair supposedly enter the booth this week in Ronson's studio in Henley.
Mark Ronson NOT DJing at Suri Cruise's Party
March 12, 2008 11:03:20It seemed to be near the truth when reports surfaced on Mark Ronson being booked by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to dee-jay at Suri's second birthday party. The British musician has responded to this and laughed off the report, saying that it is simply "ridiculous".
Ronson for one thing, was linked to the Hollywood couple since he DJed at their 2006 wedding after-party. "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," Ronson spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his breakfast radio show in L.A.. "I DJ'd Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding and I guess somebody just thought it would be a funny story to make up."

The five British singles have beat out five others that include James Blunt's "1973", Kaiser Chiefs' "Ruby", Mutya Buena's "Real Girl", Sugababes' "About You Now" and Kate Nash's "Foundation". Voting for the winner on this category has been opened for British public on the official site.
Amy Winehouse to Record Hanukkah Songs
January 16, 2008 11:01:43Behind her constantly-exposed personal life, Amy Winehouse has been gearing the work on her actual career, a singer. Producer Mark Ronson who has worked with her a couple of times, revealed that they had been in talks and will hit the studio soon.
To RollingStone.com Ronson revealed, "She's writing songs, and we talked about getting a studio. I have to finish a few other things first, but I imagine we'll go into the studio this year." Even more surprising, there is a possibility that Winehouse will release a holiday album where Christmas classics are at one side and Hanukkah songs featured on the other.
Rihanna's "Umbrella", Longest Reigning Single in a Decade
July 23, 2007 09:07:47
Although Rihanna's "Umbrella" has descended U.S. chart in the tenth week, the Jay-Z featuring hit still has its say in U.K. Singles chart. The song enters its tenth week at #1, making itself the longest running Number One single in ten years at the top of the U.K. chart.
With such record, Rihanna joins Whitney Houston and Bryan Adams in the list of singers with #1 hit that stays more than nine weeks. Houston's "I Will Always Love You" remained seated at the top post for ten weeks in 1992 while Adam's "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" claimed 16 weeks victory one year prior.
