The American Idol's first winner will be working with producer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who had penned Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love", on the materials for her fourth studio album.
Tedder said that the new set from Clarkson will feature "big choruses" and "heavy drum programming". On the selection of sound, the songs will be influenced heavily by Garbage's music while a song will be a mid-tempo rock ballad that features an experimental bridge inspired by Mozart.

2007 Teen Choice Awards has begun taking shape with the announcement of its two performers. Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson are set to the the ninth annual award that is broadcast on Fox live August 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
Both acts are going to perform the first single from their new albums. Kelly will sing her much-criticized 'Never Again' while Avril will deliver her hit 'Girlfriend'. The deal comes after Clarkson left ex-managing company The Firm for Starstruck, a company with Blackstock sitting as CEO. Trisha McClanahan, Starstruck VP of Marketing, will assist with Clarkson's day-to-day operations.

American Idol champ, Kelly Clarkson, has inked a deal to be part of the 2007 NASCAR team. "Anyone who knows me knows I'm a race fan and love NASCAR," Clarkson said. "It's been cool doing things with NASCAR in the past and I'm honored to have the opportunity to play such a huge role for the sport in 2007."
The deal kicks off with Clarkson headlining the Nextel "Tribute To America" concert airing live on Fox just before the Daytona 500 in Florida on Feb. 18. Mariah Carey was one among many who got nominated at the event. Unfortunately, the pop diva only brought home one award, Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist, from the total four nominations she got, including Favorite Female Pop/Rock which went to Gwen Stefani, Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B which went to Green Day's "American Idiot" and Destiny's Child "Destiny Fulfilled."
Apart, multiple honors went to country star Tim McGraw, who won Country Male Artist prize and Country Album for his "Live Like You Were Dying." Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Eminem, and R&B singer R. Kelly also scored great, but none of them were attending the Awards.

Bronchitis Forces Kelly to Postpone Concerts
September 12, 2005 10:09:58Bronchitis has forced Kelly Clarkson to cancel three more concerts in Nevada and Washington. The singer previously has called off two performances in California last week.
Clarkson actually wished to get well soon, but was still feeling ill at a sound check Friday, according to a statement from RCA Music Group. Thus, Clarkson had to pull out of Friday night's show in Reno, Nev., Saturday's concert in Las Vegas and Sunday's show scheduled in Spokane, Wash., all of which are part of her "Hazel Eyes" tour.
Kelly Clarkson Gearing Up 2nd North American Tour
June 02, 2005 10:06:49Who is "Behind These Hazel Eyes"? The answer is Kelly Clarkson. Shortly after her single "Behind These Hazel Eyes," taken from "Breakaway," stands at No. 8 on the chart, Kelly is planning to embark her another tour. She is slated to gear up her second North American tour of the year, dubbed The Behind These Hazel Eyes tour that will begin June 29 in Del Mar, California, and will wrap September 10 in Las Vegas after 47 shows.
Unlike her previous one in which she performed in theaters, this time the singer will perform around larger venues, with arenas and amphitheaters making up many of the stops. Earlier on that tour, Kelly is slated to appear in an international live performance in June 19 at the Party in the Park in Cardiff, South Wales, along with fellow singers, including Daniel Bedingfield, Charlotte Church, the Faders, Noise Next Door, and Bananarama.
