Nearing its upfront presentation, NBC continues making selection of programs which will make it into its 2013-14 season schedule. Words have just come out that network cancels Matthew Perry's "Go On" and "The New Normal" from "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy. They join comedies "Up All Night", "Whitney, "1600 Penn" and "Guys With Kids" as well as freshman drama "Deception" which received the same fate.

To be brought back for another season is cult favorite "Community", which will return for a fifth installment. The network has previously ordered a new season of "Parks and Recreation".

Added to NBC's new series haul, meanwhile, are dramas "The Blacklist" starring James Spader, medical show "The Night Shift", "Ironside" remake, and "Chicago Fire" spin-off "Chicago PD" as well as comedies "Undateable" and "Welcome to the Family".

The Peacock earlier greenlit new series "Believe", "Crisis", "Dracula", "About a Boy", "Sean Saves the World", "The Family Guide" and "The Michael J. Fox Show".

UPDATE: Low-rated musical drama "Smash" and newsmagazine "Rock Center with Brian Williams" join the list of NBC's shows which get the axe. Both of them have run for two seasons each.
