Matt Bomer Is Bryan's Sexy Ex-Boyfriend on 'The New Normal'
October 11, 2012 02:10:02Bryan's sexy boyfriend will make appearance sometime during the first season of "The New Normal" and an actor has been tapped to tackle the character. Creator Ryan Murphy reveals that Matthew Bomer has signed up for the guest-starring role, tweeting, "Guess who's coming on The New Normal as Bryan's sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!"
No further details of the character are available as of now and there's still no word regarding when the episode featuring Bomer will air. The Neal Caffrey of "White Collar" previously guest starred as Blaine's brother on Murphy's another show "Glee" which airs on FOX, and will once again team up with the writer in a movie adaptation of Tony-winning play "The Normal Heart".

GLAAD and Ellen Barkin Slam Utah NBC Affiliate for Boycotting 'The New Normal'
August 27, 2012 09:08:56GLAAD is blasting KSL-TV, the NBC-affiliated television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, for refusing to air "The New Normal". Via a statement, the group's president Herndon Graddick says, "While audiences, critics and advertisers have all supported LGBT stories, KSL is demonstrating how deeply out of touch it is with the rest of the country."
He also tries to reach out to Jeff Simpson, CEO of KSL's parent company, Bonneville International. "We invite Jeff Simpson to sit down with GLAAD and local LGBT families," Graddick adds. "We know that if he would, he would see that not only are our families normal, but by citing 'crude and rude' content and refusing to affirm LGBT families, KSL and Mr. Simpson are sending a dangerous message to Utah. They should make that right."

One Million Moms Calling for Boycott on NBC's 'The New Normal'
July 21, 2012 08:07:03"The New Normal" has drawn protest from One Million Moms group, which previously slammed JC Penny for hiring openly gay comedienne Ellen DeGeneres as its spokesperson. The organization has posted on its website a message that urges people to call for a boycott on the upcoming comedy, which focuses on the life a nonconservative family.
Claiming that "millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman," the group alleges the show "is attempting to desensitize America and our children." It continues by slamming the network which will air the new show.

First Look at NBC's Two New Series From Ryan Murphy and J.J. Abrams
May 08, 2012 08:05:53Gearing up to welcome fall, NBC has given a series order to "The New Normal" and "Revolution", which come from Ryan Murphy and J.J. Abrams respectively. The first pictures from the upcoming shows have since landed online, highlighting the main characters and in what situation they will be often seen.
"New Normal", which Murphy co-creates with "Glee" scribe Ali Adler, is described as "a heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple and the woman who becomes a surrogate to help them have children." It has Justin Bartha, Bebe Wood, Ellen Barkin and Jayson Blair in the cast ensemble.
