'Chicago Fire' Picked Up for Full Season Despite Rating Struggle
November 10, 2012 12:11:57Although "Chicago Fire" had been struggling week to week with its rating, NBC gave it a green light for a full 22 episodes. The new fall drama was picked up after showing a season high on Wednesday, November 7 night, taking 2.3 rating and 7.09 million viewers against last week's 1.6 rating.
The Dick Wolf-produced drama's "Hanging On" episode was considered creatively strong and a proof that the show has started to grow on audience. On Wednesday nights, it goes up against CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and ABC's "Nashville". To date, "Chicago Fire" has averaged 8 million viewers and a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49.

'Chicago Fire' New Clip Sees a Deadly Fall
October 02, 2012 04:10:16An intense scene from "Chicago Fire" has been shared ahead of the series premiere. In a newly-released clip, Jesse Spencer's Lt. Matthew Casey and one of his teammates are still in a building which is set ablaze. Just when they're about to leave the building, Casey falls through a broken floor and is left unconscious.
In another snippet, Casey is featured driving a truck to the scene of a fire. Once he arrives, he delegates tasks to each member. A feud between Casey and another firefighter, Taylor Kinney's Lt. Kelly Severide, is additionally highlighted in one other sneak peek.

May 14, 2012 03:05:41On the same day NBC unveiled its 2012-2013 primetime line-up, the first sneak peeks to its new shows made their way out online. Among them is a clip from "Chicago Fire" which follows a team of firefighters as they try to keep their team intact in a room set ablaze by fire.
"The New Normal", a new comedy from "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy, is previewed in a clip which shows a gay couple, played by Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha, interviewing a woman (Georgia King), who is a potential surrogate.
