AceShowbiz - Screen Gems has debuted the first trailer for "The Roommate" starring Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester. Debuted by Yahoo! Movies, the video opens with a look at the sweet friendship occurring between the new roommates.
Things get scary for Kelly's Sara when Meester's Rebecca becomes obsessed with her. Claiming to protect her, Rebecca hurts other people close to Sara. She sets a man who likes Sara on fire, and threatens another girl pal who warns Sara about her weird behavior.
A psychological thriller, "The Roommate" has Cam Gigandet, Alyson Michalka and Matt Lanter taking supporting roles. Directed by Christian E. Christiansen with the script written by Sonny Mallhi, this movie is slated to open wide in the U.S. on February 4, 2011.
