Movie Story

The hysterical tale of a "Spot", a talking canine whose ultimate wish is to become "a real boy". When the opportunity presents itself - through the DNA manipulations of whacko scientist Ivan Krank (voiced with comically wicked flair by Kelsey Grammer) - Spot quickly follows his "family" (his best friend and master, Leonard, and their mother/fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Helperman) to Florida in order to make the evolution to human form.

However, Dr.Krank's experiments have been far from perfect thus far (witness the mosquito girl and alligator boy) and, although Spot's transformation to humanity is complete, nobody calculates "dog years" into the equation. Spot transforms to a middle age man! Hijinks ensues as Spot pals attempt to right the genetic wrong and bring some level of normalcy to their already off-kilter lives.

Nathan Lane won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Spot, and his boy alias, Scott, in the popular "Teacher's Pet" TV series. Furthermore, in the past year, the series has garnered consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Animated Television Series - Special Class; a British Academy Children's Film & Television Award (BAFTA) for Best International Programme; the National Cartoonist Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Animated Television Series; and the World Animation Celebration's award for Best Daytime Television Series.
