"NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" will be taking a short break to be back on April 28 with a back door story of "NCIS Legend". The spin-off will be introduced for the very first time on the original series episode of "Legend (Part 1)".

The body of a Marine leads Gibbs and McGee to the NCIS OSP division in Los Angeles, where a murder investigation quickly climbs to a matter of national security in which the two offices must work together to resolve. Meanwhile, Tony begins to snoop into Ziva's personal life.

As previously reported, LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell will be the lead stars of the spin-off and thus both are listed as the guest stars in this "NCIS" episode. LL is taking the role of Special Agent Sam Hanna, a tough but charming former U.S. Navy Seal and is "an expert on the Middle East." Meanwhile, O'Donnell is Special Agent G. Callen who is "an ordinary guy born to do undercover".

Also guest starring in the episode are Louise Lombard as Special Agent Lara Macy, Peter Cambor as Operational Psychologist Nate Getz and Daniela Ruah as Special Agent Kensi Blye.

"NCIS Legend" meanwhile, is a tentative title and is bound to change. It deals with a special division that uses enhanced and modern technology that have never been seen on television to solve crimes. Another story to this division will be in "NCIS" May 5 episode.
