'NCIS' Gets Season 11 Order
February 02, 2013 09:02:48"NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" will return for an eleventh season. The renewal comes as no surprise since the police procedural drama series has been named the most-watched TV program in the last two years.
Along with the announcement of the new season pickup, CBS reveals that lead actor and executive producer Mark Harmon has extended his contract with the show. His deal would have been up after the current tenth season.

First Footage of 'NCIS' Season 10 Reveals Team's Fate After the Blast
August 31, 2012 04:08:08The first sneak-peek video of "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" season 10 has made its way out via Entertainment Tonight. It shows Ducky lying on a bed and having trouble breathing, while asking Palmer if Gibbs and the other NCIS team at the headquarter survive the explosion.
Meanwhile at the headquarter, Gibbs and Gabby seemingly don't suffer serious injuries, but Ziva and Tony are trapped in an elevator. Gibbs gets emotional when investigating the case and hunting down the man responsible for the blast, while McGee is not seen in the video.

'NCIS' Season 10 Photo Teases the Aftermath of the Explosion
August 17, 2012 03:08:26The fate of one "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" character after the explosion in the last season finale has been revealed in the first photo from season 10. Still wearing her lab coat, Pauley Perrette's Abby gazes to somewhere unseen while being tended to by an EMT. The destruction caused by the bomb is also evident in the picture.
The first episode of the upcoming chapter, which is set to premiere Tuesday, September 25 at 8 P.M. on FOX, will deal with the aftermath of the explosion that rocked the NCIS headquarter. Executive producer Gary Glasberg tells Entertainment Weekly, "It literally picks up two hours after the explosion, and it's an action-packed episode of television. I packed a lot in there."

CBS to 'NCIS' Creator: Your Lawsuit Has No Merit
April 29, 2011 11:04:29The man who created "JAG", "Magnum P.I." and "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" is suing CBS for not rewarding him for the success of "NCIS: Los Angeles". Don Bellisario has filed a lawsuit against the network because "NCIS: L.A.", which launched in 2009, is considered a sequel to and spin-off to his shows.
"Bellisario has the contractual right to participate in and be compensated for 'NCIS:LA' because it is, among other things, both a sequel to and a spinoff of 'JAG' and 'NCIS' within the meaning of the 'first opportunity' rights provisions of Plaintiffs' contracts with CBS," the lawsuit said.

'NCIS' Production Halted After Accident on Set Killed Crew Member
February 10, 2011 02:02:29Production on "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" was shut down on Wednesday, February 9 after a vehicle crashed onto the set and killed a member of the crew. A 60-year-old driver suffered a heart attack behind the wheel and lost control of his passenger van, veering onto the Santa Clarita, California set and claiming the life of a male security guard.
The 52 year old was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. A statement from bosses at TV network CBS reads, "Everyone at the network, the studio and NCIS is devastated by the news"

In the former show, the NCIS team investigates the disappearance of a Navy petty officer who is the sole witness in an upcoming murder trial.
"False Witness" presents a dead turkey that the victim hunted when he was murdered. It becomes the team's only link to find out what happened in the woods. Speaking of the episode which mood is lightened up, co-executive producer of the series Steven Binder who wrote the episode said, "Let's just say that Tony DiNozzo will be behaving very differently from what we're used to."

Michael Weatherly Wants a Musical Episode for 'NCIS'
May 05, 2010 11:05:30Michael Weatherly has launched a campaign to persuade U.S. TV bosses to let him show off his singing skills in a musical episode of hit crime series "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service ". Weatherly, who plays Agent Tony DiNozzo opposite actor Mark Harmon on the series, showcased his musical talents on the "NCIS" soundtrack, and now he's dreaming up plans for the detective pair to sing and dance on the programme.
He tells the New York Post, "If there's a crime show that can get away with it, we're on it... Mark Harmon has done some cowboy singing in the past." But Weatherly admits convincing TV bosses to sign off on the idea has been a challenge: "We have talked about it... there are certain people that think that it would be a disaster."
