Helen Hunt May Replace Maura Tierney on 'Parenthood'
September 15, 2009 03:09:21There have been some considerations that Helen Hunt should replace Maura Tierney on "Parenthood". NBC, according to THR, has approached the feature film star to join the series and Hunt is said to be weighing on the offer.
Hunt is supposed to take over Tierney's Sarah, one of the four Braverman siblings that become the center of attention on the series. She is a financially-challenged single mother who returns home to her parents and siblings in Berkeley, Calif. The other siblings are played by Peter Krause, Erika Christensen and Dax Shepard.
Helen Hunt Reportedly Engaged to Longtime Partner Matthew Carnahan

The couple was holding hands during a romantic walk in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday, March 11, when Hunt was snapped flaunting the reported diamond sparkler.
Neither Hunt nor Carnahan has denied or verified the engagement speculation. Her publicist also hasn't returned requests for comment regarding the issue.
'Then She Found Me' Trailer Released!
March 15, 2008 02:03:00The trailer of Helen Hunt's new dramedy film "Then She Found Me" has come out online. The video footage that lasts up more than two minutes gives out the idea what the movie is all about.
The trailer starts with the introduction of the main character April by showing the clips where she is marrying her husband followed by appearing lines stating, "April's life was all planned out..." Then, it can be seen that she is arguing with her sick mother, whom she found out to be her adoptive mother, while another lines comes up, "...but life can change...in a heartbeat."

At the event held from March 10 to 13 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas, the Emmy and Academy Award-winning actress Helen Hunt has been set to be awarded with the title of Breakthrough Director of the Year.
The 44-year-old actress will be presented with the kudo at the convention's Opening Day Luncheon on March 11. She is chosen to be given the prize following her latest film "Then She Found Me", which was the opening film of the 19th Annual Palm Springs Film Festival. In the drama comedy starring Colin Firth, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick, the star of "As Good as It Gets" took the role of the leading actress and most importantly the helmer.
Then She Found Me to Open 19th Annual Palm Springs Film Festival
December 12, 2007 11:12:54On Tuesday, December 11, the Palm Springs International Film Society announced that "Then She Found Me" will open its 19th annual film festival. The movie which marked the directorial debut of the Academy Award winning actress, Helen Hunt, will be showcased at 6:30 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Palm Springs High School auditorium. Following the premiere screening of the comedy drama movie, an Opening Night Reception will be held at the Palm Springs Art Museum.
The movie which also stars Colin Firth, Bette Midler and Matthew Broderick resolved around Hunt's character, April. April is a 39-year-old schoolteacher whose life crumbling around her when her adoptive mother passed away and her husband left her. At that time, she met her famous biological mother who claimed that she wanted to know her long-lost daughter. Making her life even complicated, she then met a new man, the father of one of her students.
