AceShowbiz - "American Idol" season 20 revealed the Top 20 in the Sunday, April 17 episode. The episode also featured the singers taking to the stage to perform in front of judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, for America's vote.

Emyrson Flora was revealed to be the first singer to make it to the Top 20. She performed "Tell Me You Love Me" by Demi Lovato that night. Lionel said that her stage presence was "out of control." Meanwhile, Katy called her one of the "most talented" singers.

The next singer joining Emyrson in the Top 20 was Mike Parker, who performed "Chasing After You" by Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris. Katy praised him for his command of the crowd. As for Luke, he claimed that "the time is right" for him in the world of music, while Lionel loved that Mike has a "storyteller's" voice.

Tristen Gressett was also sent to the next round. He opted to sing "Sacrifice" by The Weeknd which was a rather surprising choice of song for him. Of his performance, Luke said that while he believed that Tristen was born to be on stage, it wasn't his best vocal. However, Lionel seemed to disagree as he said, "I can't keep my eyes off you."

The fourth singer making it to the Top 20 was Sage, who performed "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac that night. Lionel said she brought him as close to 1968 as she could. Meanwhile, Luke called it a great song choice. Another singer in the Top 20 was Jay. He decided to sing "You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse and earned praises from the judges.

Jacob Moran performed next, singing "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" by Stevie Wonder. He seemingly did vocal acrobatics too much that Lionel wished Jacob would have given the listeners a bit more of the melody. HunterGirl, who was revealed to be among the Top 20 as well, later hit the stage to sing an original song she wrote called "Heartbreak Down". Luke raved about the performance while Lionel called her "a natural."

Elli Rowe also stayed in the competition. She sang "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. Luke thought it was a "beautiful performance." Katy called her "small but mighty" and praised her for her song choices. Dan Marshall also claimed a spot in the Top 20, meaning Scarlet and Danielle Finn were eliminated from the competition. Dan performed "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks, and Luke congratulated him for "upping his game."

After Alejandro Aranda a.k.a. Scarypoolparty performed his song "The Darkness", it was revealed that Ava Maybee was the next singer to be sent to the Top 20. Katy thought that Ava reinvented Demi Lovato's "Anyone" and Lionel loved it that Ava went outside of her comfort zone. Joining her in the Top 20 were Allegra Miles, who performed "Free Fallin' " by Tom Petty, and Noah Thompson, who sang "Falling" by Harry Styles.

The next singer to join the Top 20 was Leah Marlene, who later hit the stage to sing "Heal" by Tom Odell. Luke said that the performance might be the best show he's ever seen. Lionel called Leah's performance "possession." Christian Guardino, who performed "Imagine" by John Lennon that night, also moved to the next round. Lionel said that he was "the poster child for the power of the human spirit."

Fritz Hager, Katyrah Love and Cameron Whitcomb were later named the next singers to make it to the Top 20. Fritz showed off her skill by singing "when the party's over" by Billie Eilish, with Katyrah singing "Dream" by Bishop Briggs. Cameron chose "Changes" by Black Sabbath, but he appeared to take his performance as a joke. Katy told him to just adopt the next step of seriousness.

Cadence Baker joined others in the Top 20. She decided to sing "Train Wreck" by James Arthur that night and impressed the judges with her performance. The final spot in the Top 20, meanwhile, went to Lady K, who sang "Love on the Brain" by Rihanna. Sir Blayke was the third singer to be eliminated in the episode.

The Top 14 will be revealed live in the Monday, April 18 episode.
