Garth Brooks won Entertainer of the Year Award at the 2017 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, November 8. The "Friends in Low Places" hitmaker beat out other nominees including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban. The award was presented by Reba McEntire, who had also won the award before.

Wearing a black suit and a black cowboy hat, Brooks delivered his acceptance speech, thanking his fans for the achievement. "Getting this presented to me by the entertainer of a lifetime, I thank you," he said. "[Miranda Lambert] said it best, Little Big Town said it best -- we're a family."

"All you guys down here on the front row," the 55-year-old singer continued. "We can all agree on one thing. Let's all raise a toast. ...To the band and crew. I was talking to [Kelsea Ballerini] backstage about how we get to do this for a living. ...The most important thing other than God...is you [fans]. ...I love you guys. We're a family."

Brooks then took to Twitter to thank his fans once again for their continuous support. He posted a picture of himself posing with the trophy. A big smile could be seen on his face. "You've made me feel like the EOTY all tour long! Thank YOU!!!" he captioned it.

Brothers Osborne and Chris Stapleton each brought home two awards at the show. The country duo, who debuted in 2013, won Music Video of the Year and Vocal Duo of the Year, while Chris won Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year after beating out Kelsea Ballerini, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris and host Carrie Underwood. Jon Pardi won New Artist of the Year, defeating Luke Combs, Old Dominion, Brett Young and Lauren Alaina.
