The country stars' arrival at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, November 4 officially kicked off the 49th Annual CMA Awards. Carrie Underwood, who was the co-host for the night's ceremony, showed up early in her tangerine Gauri & Nainika peplum gown with plunging neckline.
It seemed like the tailed gowns became the favorite for the ladies. Kimberly Schlapman, Lauren Alaina and Kacey Musgraves opted for mermaid tails while the likes of Lindsey Stirling, Camaron Marvel Ochs, Jana Kramer, Rachel Holder, Danielle Bradbery as well as Underwood went all out with longer train.
Being sparkly was also the trend. Jewel Kilcher stunned in her long-sleeved silver dress which was paired with ankle-strapped heels. Shawna Thompson, Kelsea Ballerini, Karen Fairchild and Cassadee Pope were also in the silver and gold shades. Those on the darker side were Miranda Lambert, Aubrey Peeples, Clare Dunn and Kimberly Perry who stunned in their black gowns.
While most of the guys were opting formal black wear, Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of LoCash burst out with jeans, hats and unbuttoned shirts. "American Idol" alum Scotty McCreery was also one to note with his gold-flower-printed tuxedo. Spotted attending the event for country stars were pop singer Justin Timberlake, rockers Fall Out Boy and actor Steve Martin.
