Gigi Hadid has called it quits with her boyfriend Joe Jonas after five months of dating. According to PEOPLE, the couple ended their relationship due to their hectic schedules but they will "definitely remain friends."

"Joe and Gigi's relationship recently ended," a source tells the site. "Nothing serious happened ... it wasn't a dramatic break up. It was just hard to make it work with their schedules. They will definitely remain friends."

Gigi and Joe sparked dating rumors earlier this year after being spotted together in various occasions. Joe initially denied he's dating Gigi before the couple was photographed having a lunch together with her father in mid-June. They later went on a double date with Joe's ex Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Calvin Harris in London.

In October, Gigi and Joe made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala in New York, where her mom Yolanda Foster was honored for her advocacy work. Gigi even co-directed Joe's band DNCE's music video for "Cake By the Ocean."

The pair, however, seemed to spend Halloween apart. Gigi went solo to Heidi Klum's annual party in New York City while Joe hosted a Birchbox Man dinner for Movember in Los Angeles with Nick Jonas and Cole Whittle.

Before dating Joe, Gigi was linked to Cody Simpson. Joe, meanwhile, previously dated model Blanda Eggenschwiler.
