A source says that Pitt was indeed drunk and had an argument with Jolie and one of their kids on their private plane last week, but denies that the actor physically abused anyone.

AceShowbiz - New details about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's fight on a plane last week have emerged online. After news broke that he's now investigated by the DCFS for being verbally abusive and physical with his children, a source tells PEOPLE that the actor didn't hit anyone in the incident.
The source can confirm that Pitt was drunk and did have a heated argument with Jolie while on board their private jet Wednesday, September 14. The source goes on to reveal that one of their older kids somehow got involved in the fight.
"[The kid] then got caught in the middle, literally. He stepped in front of Brad. There was a parent-child argument which was not handled in the right way and escalated more than it should have," the source shares, adding that Pitt didn't hurt his son.
"[Pitt] is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed," the source continues. "He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was nose to nose and was spiraling out of control."
The source adds that those accusations made against Pitt are simply "a combination of exaggerations and lies." "[Jolie's sources] have taken the overall smallest kernel of truth - that a fight got out of hand and reached a regrettable peak, and that as a result DCFS is looking into it - and they are manipulating it to best suit their attempts to gain custody," the source explains.
As previously reported, Jolie has requested sole physical custody of her and Pitt's six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne 8. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well being of our kids I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time," Pitt has responded to Jolie's divorce filing.
