ESPN has suspended its reporter Britt McHenry for one week for throwing tantrum while paying to have her car released from a car towing lot. The network took the action hours after a video which captured her during the ugly rant surfaced.

"We are aware of a recent exchange between Britt McHenry and a towing company employee. We are now reviewing the matter with her," the news channel previously said before deciding to suspend McHenry.

In a now-deleted tweet she posted on Monday, April 6, McHenry vented her frustration about her car getting towed in Arlington, Va. while she was eating dinner. "Just got towed after eating dinner at an establishment in Arlington. How corrupt is Advanced Towing?" she wrote at the time.

She apparently unleashed her anger at a towing company employee and the moment was caught on camera. "I'm in the news sweetheart, I will f***ing sue this place," she told the clerk.

It got more personal as McHenry took a jab at the clerk's intelligence and mocked her appearance. "Yep, that's all you care about, is just taking people's money," McHenry said. "With no education, no skillset, just wanted to clarify that. ... Do you feel good about your job? So I could be a college dropout and do the same thing? Why, cause I have a brain and you don't?"

She went on berating, "Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?... I'm in television and you're in a f***ing trailer, honey." At the end of the edited video, she told the clerk, "Lose some weight, baby girl."

McHenry later apologized for her ugly rant, tweeting, "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake."
