Taylor Swift stuns in red, Jordin Sparks brings a touch of elegance in her mini dress and The Wanted look ultra classy in suits, while Miley Cyrus turns head with her sexy ensemble and bouffant hair.
2012 Billboard Music Awards have brought together many music stars to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Turning up for the night of celebration on Sunday, May 20 evening, the likes of Katy Perry and Carrie Underwood stole the attention with their choice of dress when they hit the red carpet.
Perry made sure all eyes were on her by showing up in a floor-length lilac gown. The estranged wife of Russell Brand, who'll perform her new single "Wide Awake", completed her look with violet curls and dark red lips. Her date for the night was her grandmother Ann Hudson. She tweeted earlier, "My date to tonight's Billboard Music Awards is hotter than the las vegas weather. SMOKIN'!"
Underwood, in the meantime, turned heads with her dramatic dress. Channeling her inner Cinderella, the 29-year-old country star went with a strapless silver and rose tulle draped Oscar de la Renta gown. To complete the look, she wore silver open toe pumps and carried Cara vanity case. The "Good Girl" singer was accompanied by her NHL star husband Mike Fisher.
Other beauties gracing the red carpet included Taylor Swift and Jordin Sparks. Country crooner Swift was stunning in a red floor-sweeping dress with a lace-paneled top from Elie Saab, and "American Idol" alum Sparks kept it simple yet elegant in a cream lace mini dress from Diane von Furstenberg. The latter came to the event with fellow musician Jason Derulo.
Another young singer bringing her style to the red carpet was Miley Cyrus. Going with a sexy look, the 19-year-old wore a white suit jacket of Jean Paul Gaultier creation that boasted a plunging neckline. She paired it with Jacquie Aiche jewels and Christian Louboutin shoes. Her bouffant hair, however, made her look way older than she really is.
In the men's department, the guys of British boyband The Wanted showed off their sleeker side as Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes slipped into different suits. Pop sensation Justin Bieber, on the other hand, stayed with his casual style by donning white shirt under a jacket, while his mentor Usher went with a blue suit.
