Agent 007 is pictured standing tall atop a building with a Union Jack flag on the background in one image, and is featured pointing a hand gun in several others.
Several new official images from "Skyfall" have been unveiled. Being released via French magazine Cine Live, those images provide a fresh look at Daniel Craig's James Bond. In one photo, the British agent stands atop a building with a Union Jack flag waving behind him. The other pictures, meanwhile, feature him pointing a hand gun.
Along with the new stills, the French magazine via Comic Book Movie offered some important details about the 23rd Bond movie. One of them talks about [SPOILER ALERT!] the "casino scene" that takes place in Macao. There will be a scene where tuxedo-clad Bond gets into an action at a floating casino in Macao.
The particular scene, which allegedly will see firework being lit as the boat Bond boards passes between two dragon heads, reportedly has "a certain gravity" and that director Sam Mendes has "put a mysterious depth in it." The casino shown in the scene itself is said to be resembling "a kingdom of the dead."
In an interview with the magazine, Mendes confirmed the return of some iconic characters in the 007 franchise. The director also opened up that he will bring "more humor" in the upcoming film compared to the last two Bond movies. He aims to explore the roots of the MI6, as to "make a loop with Dr. No (Ian Fleming's 1959 Bond novel)."
In "Skyfall", Bond's loyalty to his superior M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, the spy must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. Craig returns as the flamboyant secret agent after tackling the prestigious role in "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace".
Slated for a November 9 release in the U.S., "Skyfall" also stars Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace.
