'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit' began rolling the camera on Monday, March 23 with Hilary Duff on the set as a young mother suspected of a murder.

AceShowbiz - Days after the news about her doing a cameo for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", Hilary Duff has been photographed filming her scene in New York City's East Village on Monday, March 23. Also spotted on the set is Mariska Hargitay who took several weeks of break to recuperate from collapsed lung.
More details are also unearthed regarding Duff's role in the series. She will play Ashlee Walker who is described as a "rebellious, trashy, slutty, irresponsible young mother". She is suspected as the murderer of her baby named Sierra. According to Just Jared, there will be a scene where she is seen with wet T-shirt and "drunk and partying in Cabo".
The shooting is for the episode "Selfish" which will air later this season. The photos, where Annie Potts is also spotted, can be found on Celebrity Mania.
Apart from the "Law & Order" guest appearance, Hilary Duff was also signed for an episode of "Ghost Whisperer". Her episode where she becomes "a beautiful woman of mystery" will air April 10.
