'CSI' Laurence Fishburne to Crossover to 'Miami' and 'NY'
August 07, 2009 11:08:06Announced via CBS' Twitter is a major crossover between "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and its spin offs. Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Raymond Langston will be the character from the original series who will make a visit to "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY". No word on other characters.
The crossover is scheduled to take over within 1 week this Fall, but it is still unknown in which week it will take place. "Miami" will be the first to premiere, entering the eighth season on Monday, September 21. It is followed by the sixth season premiere of "NY" on Wednesday, September 23 and the tenth season of "CSI" on Thursday, September 24.

December 30, 2008 11:12:30The list of presenters at The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards is swelling with the addition of three new stars. Blake Lively, Laurence Fishburne and Aaron Eckhart are set to present an award at the event held January 11 at the Beverly Hilton.
The trio will join previously-announced presenters that include Jake Gyllenhaal, Salma Hayek, Glenn Close, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ricky Gervais and Amy Poehler among others. Filmmaker Steven Spielberg will receive the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award, the honor that he was supposed to take last year prior to the cancellation due to writer's strike.

The clip features Fishburne in a scene where he introduces himself as his character, Dr. Raymond Langston.
The clip also shows how the 47-year-old actor begins an investigation of a murder case. Meanwhile, the behind-the-scene video presents the on-set shooting for the episode. On the video, the Emmy Award-winning actor also expresses how he feels for joining the series.

November 22, 2008 11:11:02"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will soon switch faces from the beloved head of department, Gil Grissom, to well-known pathologist, Dr. Raymond Langston. A first look into Laurence Fishburne as Langston has been given out through some pictures and a new CBS promo for the episode 9.09, titled "19 Down" where Langston will make his first appearance.
The switching was explained as William Petersen's departure from the show after 9 seasons playing Grissom. Langston's introduction to the show will be marked when Grissom secretly joins Langston's class to gain access to an infamous serial killer, "Dick & Jane Killer". The episode will air December 11 at 9/8c.

Taking full control on the flick, Laurence Fishburne has teamed up with indie studio A-Mark Entertainment to secure feature rights to "The Alchemist" from Warner Brothers Entertainment, Inc..
Fishburne initially was confirmed to take starring part in the project in late December 2005 as well as to pen the script and direct. Not only that, he will also produce alongside "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy producer Barrie Osborne and Helen Sugland, whom he previously joined forces with in producing "Akeelah and the Bee."

Looks like the reunion between Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson won't be happening through "Black Water Transit" as Variety has shockingly informed that the project will board with new cast of characters instead.
In replacement of the two acclaimed actors, Laurence Fishburne and Karl Urban have been picked up along with Brittany Snow, last seen playing cute wallflower Kate in high school comedy "John Tucker Must Die", to make up the new lineup. Writing task has also been shifted from Doug Richardson to Matthew Chapman, who previously penned "Runaway Jury" for 20th Century Fox.

Turns out that Doug Jones will not deliver his own dialogue as The Silver Surfer in 20th Century Fox's "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
Variety has confirmed that the voice of the Power Cosmic wielder will be provided by actor Laurence Fishburne instead, who has already joined the flick this week. Fishburne, best known for his role in "The Matrix" trilogy, previously was speculated to be in the running for the voice of God-like villain Galactus yet Variety did note that Fox hasn't decided whether the character will even speak.
