French Montana has given "Keep It Real" ft. EST Gee a music video treatment. Released on Tuesday, July 26, the visuals show the Moroccan-American rapper and his collaborator delivering their bars on top of a deli in New York.
While the two emcees are perching on Las Yaris's roof, their crew hangs out in front of the building. In the Rook the Director-helmed clip, the group can also be seen hitting the courts at Dyckman Park before heading to a local grocery store.
"Shorty keep it real, it’s better than bein' perfect/ I pull up in a foreign and my shooters in Suburbans/ Icy with a stick on me, like I'm playin' hockey/ they done dragged me through the mud but them boys couldn't stop me," French spits. "Slidin' through your hood with my Haan/ You know the vibe, you know the vibe/ I be sliding through your hood with my Haan."
The track appears on "Montega", a collaborative album by French and producer Harry Fraud. The 12-track set, which arrived on June 24, also features guest appearances from the likes of Babyface Ray, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Benny the Butcher and Quavo among others.
The new record follows French's fourth studio album, "They Got Amnesia", which was dropped on November 12, 2021. Artists who are featured in the record include John Legend, Rick, Kodak Black, the late Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Fivio Foreign, Fabolous, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg, Ty Dolla $ign, Latto (Mulatto) and Lil Tjay.
Speaking about the project, French said in a press release, "This album reflects my personal journey, so it's the most special for me." The 37-year-old went on to share, "God gave me another chance at life and this music healed me. I'm grateful to my collaborators and my fans for supporting me. I had to remind 'em, 'cause you know they got amnesia!"
