AceShowbiz - The 2019 Kids' Choice Awards took place on Saturday night, March 22 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Airing live on Nickelodeon, the DJ Khaled-hosted annual kids-voted ceremony handed out honors in the categories of music, movies, TV and more.
The event saw Ariana Grande being the biggest winner as they snagged two trophies. The "7 Rings" singer won the awards for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Song for her hit breakup anthem "Thank U, Next". As she's currently hitting the road for her tour, the singer was unable to attend the event. However, she made sure to thank fans through a video message.
"To All the Boys I've Loved Before" breakout star Noah Centineo also came out as a winner as he was announced as Favorite Movie Actor, thanks to his role as Peter Kavinsky in the Netflix movie. Also among the honorees that night were Shawn Mendes and Maroon 5, who nabbed the awards for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Music Group respectively.
In TV department, "Riverdale" and "Fuller House" collected an award each at the ceremony, which winners are voted on by fans. "Riverdale" won the category of Favorite TV Drama with the reboot of "Full House" nabbed the award for Favorite Funny TV Show.
Meanwhile, "Avengers: Infinity War" won the category of Favorite Movie. Also winners in movie department were Robert Downey Jr., who won Favorite Superhero for his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in "Avengers: Infinity War", and "Incredibles 2" that was announced as Favorite Animated Movie.
Chris Pratt went home with an award for Favorite Butt-Kicker category for his role as Owen Grady in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom". The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star was slimed at the event when he took the stage. "Thanks @nickelodeon and all the kids who voted," he wrote on Instagram following the ceremony.
"I'm humbled and honored to be your kids choice awards favorite butt-kicker. Now it you’ll excuse me I've got slime to clean out from deep within my nostrils," he continued captioning a photo of him getting slimed.
