Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry Nominated for 2014 BRIT Awards

The 'Mirrors' singer is nominated for International Male Solo Artist award while the 'Roar' hitmaker earns a nod for International Female Solo Artist.

AceShowbiz - The nominations for the biggest music event in the U.K. BRIT Awards were announced in London on Thursday night, January 9. Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry are among nominees at the upcoming event.

Timberlake is nominated alongside Bruno Mars, Eminem, Drake and John Grant in International Male Solo Artist category. Meanwhile, Perry is up against Lady GaGa, Pink, Lorde and Janelle Monae for International Female Solo Artist award.

Musicians who are nominated in International Group category are French duo Daft Punk, rap group Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, rock group HAIM, Tennessee rockers from Kings of Leon and Canadian band Arcade Fire.

British artists Bastille and Disclosure lead the pack with four nominations each. The London-based four-piece will compete with other musicians in various categories including Best Single for "Pompeii", Best British Group, Breakthrough Artist and Best Album for their debut "Bad Blood"

Disclosure is nominated in the same four categories. Their collaboration with AlunaGeorge "White Noise" is nominated for Best British Single while their debut record "Settle" gets a nod for Best Album.

Ellie Goulding follows closely behind the two bands with three nominations. She's nominated twice in British Single category for her solo "Burn" and duet with Calvin Harris "I Need Your Love". She's also in contention for Best Female Solo Artist, the same category that features Jessie J, Laura Marling, Laura Mvula and Birdy.

The BRIT Awards 2014 will air live from London's O2 Arena on February 19, with performances from Mars, Perry and Arctic Monkeys.
