The two female country music singers receive three nominations each along with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum.

AceShowbiz - Nominees for this year's CMT Music Awards have been announced by Evan Farmer and Laura Bell Bundy on May 11. Along with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood lead the nominations with three nods each.
The four country music acts are competing against each other in Video of the Year. In this category, they are joined by such contenders as Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert. Taylor and Carrie additionally are facing off one another in Female Video of the Year. In this battle, they are joined by Miranda and Reba McEntire.
Taylor, who was recently announced as recipient of Hal David Starlight Award by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, receives her third gong in Collaborative Video of the Year, thanks to her appearance in Kellie Pickler's "Best Days of Your Life" clip. She and Kellie will compete against Jason who collaborates with Bryan Adams, Blake Shelton who tags Trace Adkins as a featured guest and Kenny who makes a duet with Dave Matthews.
Carrie, meanwhile, gets her third nomination in CMT Performance of the Year which has her battling Lady Antebellum, Reba, Brad and Tim McGraw. As for Jason and Lady Antebellum, they receive their third nods in Male Video of the Year and Group Video of the Year respectively.
"When you look at the talent and diversity amassed within these categories, it's easy to see why this has been CMT's biggest year ever," CMT President Brian Philips said of this year's nominees. "Hosted by our Nashville-brother-by-way-of-Detroit, Kid Rock, this night promises to be an unforgettable party!"
The 2010 CMT Music Awards will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on June 9 and broadcast live on CMT. Musical guests slated to perform are Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Fans can vote on CMT official site to determine winners. The final nominees for video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the show, and fans can then vote online and via text message throughout the live broadcast to determine the big winner.
